First, the name of our restaurant has nothing to do with our feelings. Translated it means something like “defy or resist”. The Trotzstube is called that because it’s also the name of the district in which the Hotel Arvina is located. But if we think about it carefully, it also sums up our philosophy quite well. Because our restaurant, situated close to the Alpe di Siusi, defies culinary trends, flying in the face of short-lived kitchen fashions, and enjoys an excellent reputation. What our kitchen team conjures up in the kitchen is honest, regional and innovative. And you can always treat yourself to whatever takes your fancy.

We have been catering to our guests in the Trotzstube with the finest natural cuisine since 1991. What do you take that to mean? First of all, the choicest ingredients to be found locally around the Alpe di Siusi. Delicious, creative preparation, surprisingly light renditions of South Tyrolean dishes and mouth-watering Mediterranean favourites from southern climes. And the cherry on top: Our service team, who are more than happy to make you feel at home and always make sure you have a good time. Inside, in the cosy ambience of our Trotzstube or outside on the sun terrace with a magnificent view of the Punta Santner. By the way: We are happy to cater to your needs and expectations.
